• Pickle Me This

Making quick refrigerator pickles only take a few minutes, and you can eat them in as little as 30-40 minutes. I like the idea of making small batches, and changing the herbs or seasoning level between jars. Have fun and … Continue reading

  • Quick Sandwich Bread

One of my biggest regrets is not learning how to make bread at an earlier point in life. Not only is it easy, relatively quick (with a little planning), and delicious, but it is rewarding and fun as well. If … Continue reading

  • Bulgogi Broccoli Beef

I love going through my cookbooks looking for new ideas. There are times that I can’t quite decide between two recipes to use for a meal. This one was no exception. I love Jet Tila’s book, 101 Asian Dishes To … Continue reading

Welcome to my food adventure

Life is a journey, and food is a part of what we find and share along the way.  I will be adding new recipes and photos as time goes on. I hope you find something that interests you in my pages. Remember – life is too short for bad food.

A Little About Myself

I am an office worker by day, a home cook/baker at night and on the weekends, and a food groupie every waking moment. Food is a full contact sport in my family, and we love to talk about it every chance we get. I have a few other interests like playing contrabass clarinet with the Wind Symphony of Clovis, crafting, collecting cookbooks, and meeting as many high-end chefs as I can.

I really love food of all types and styles, and will try almost dish at least once. If something sounds good, I will search for a recipe to make it for myself. I suppose that is why I have such a large cookbook library (400+ and growing).

If you like food as much as I do, feel free to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. I will be adding more recipes and content as time goes on, as I want to take the mystery (and fear) of trying or fixing something new. Want to see something specific? Leave a comment or send an email to fork.travel.eat@gmail.com, and I will see what we can find for you.
